Newhouse strictly adheres to the Donor Bill of Rights and will always protect our donor's private information.

Monthly Pledge
Donating to Newhouse can be as simple as designating one amount to come from your checking, savings, or money market or we can charge your credit card (VISA, MasterCard & American Express) once a month. It takes a one time effort on your part and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that every month you help another woman and her children find a life free from violence.

Newhouse is an approved 501(c)3 not-for-profit Missouri corporation governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, which establishes policy.

Laying a Brick, Building a Future
Honor your business, church, sorority, fraternity, organization, a person or commemorate a special event with a personalized engraved brick.

Through this fundraising campaign sponsored by the Ethnic Enrichment and Women for Women committees of Newhouse, you have a unique opportunity to show your support of Newhouse and its efforts to stop domestic violence within your community.

Cell Phone Collection
How many old cell phones do you have in your junk drawer? Let Newhouse staff take those old phones off your hands. Newhouse works with Shelter Alliance to recycle cell phones you no longer need or want. Some phones are then refurbished and reprogrammed with 911 for domestic violence victims, others are sold for parts. Newhouse receives between 50 cents and $35 for each phone collected. Your donation really helps! To date, Newhouse has raised more than $6,000.

Special collection boxes are available. If you'd like to place a box at your office, church or facility, please call 816-474-6446, ext. 224.

Planned Giving
As friends and supporters of Newhouse, your charitable Planned Giving could maximize your estate tax benefits/decrease your estate liabilities, support the financial future of the shelter, create a lasting legacy of support during your life and after you are gone and/or possibly receive income from your gifts.

Newhouse is a partner with the regional LEAVE A LEGACY® program. LEAVE A LEGACY®, program of the Mid-America Planned Giving Council, maintains a comprehensive website that provides information to help you select ways to support Newhouse through your will or estate plan. The Gift Tree® Interactive will guide you through a process to discover which planned gift(s) work best for you. The Gifts at a Glance describes each of the planned gift options available. There is also much more information on Planned Giving on the LEAVE A LEGACY® website.

Planned Giving often requires the assistance of trained professionals in law, financial planning, insurance and banking. If you do not currently have a trained professional, Newhouse maintains a network of professionals who can offer you assistance, such as the Missouri United Methodist Foundation.
