• Twin size blankets
• Used cell phones (do not have to function)

Sunlight Day Spa is supporting Newhouse by collecting personal care products, such as body wash, soaps, lotions, perfume, nail polish, makeup, and haircare. Sunlight is also planning on offering complimentary spa services for shelter residents. Read the news release

On March 9, the nonprofit Enchanted Makeovers will bring “Recipes of Hope” to Newhouse clients. Volunteers will spend time cooking at Kansas City-based Function Junction www.functionjunction.com, and then the women will share the meal and fellowship at the adjacent Gifted Hands gift shop www.giftedhandskc.com. The MO House Appropriations Committee for Social Services cut state Domestic Violence Services funding by 50 percent-$2,375,000. This is the money that funds domestic violence services through the Department of Social Services. Contact your MO Legislator and tell them to cast their votes to restore these essential services for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Read more here
